QUEEN OF THE SCREAM

On Saturday, July 30 2011, the 1st Queen of the Scream contest took place at Grossmann. Our special guest and VIP host of the contest was actress Diana Barrows who has displayed her screaming skills in Friday the 13th Part 7. Her scream was voted the best of the series.
Different aspects had to be taken into consideration: the overall quality of the scream, body language, dramatic effect and also visual display. Our expert jury was carefully selected: Dejan Knez (Laibach), Leo Oblak (director of Radio 1) and Blaž Porenta (illustrator). First, they performed a difficult task of choosing three finalists out of eight splendidly screaming candidates.
Before the final evaluation we also had the opportunity to hear three male battle cries that were met with an enthusiastic response from the audience. After the blood-curling screams of the three finalists the audience has chosen Tamara Langus. Tamara has received a special Grossmann diploma, mobile phone Motorola U9 (courtesy of PalMedia) and a wonderful tiara, made by Rok Capuder of Shlosart.
