Koyaa lives alone on a remote hill in the Alps. Since there is no one around, he has to come up with different tricks to pass the time. Film is comprised of three short episodes, each of them shows him in a different comical situation.

Thirteen year old Kiddo lives in a small village in the Slovenian Alps. He and his best friend Mr. Cat ride a tricycle to the nearby hill where a magnificent old tree grows. Within the tree is an old book which contains the blueprints for toys and items that Kiddo always wanted to make. Inventor Mrs. Mole, who is equipped with the state of the art satellite and computer technology, is also interested in these blueprints.

Koyaa has his own special way of dealing with everyday life. Early in the morning, things get complicated when his shoelaces refuse to submit to his will. Luckily, he is not alone in the mountains. His old buddy, the wise Raven, is here to help him when things get too crazy.

Kolja Saksida is a director, producer, animator and actor. He has acted in numerous Slovenian short and feature films. His most acclaimed work is his puppet animated series Koyaa which was aired on Slovenian national television in 2005. On his new Koyaa film he has collaborated with our this year's guest Blaž Porenta who has provided Koyaa with a new look.
