This experimental style movie which does not use central characters explores the topic of suicide and violent death in the form of seven episodes, each one attributed to one day of the week. These episodes are framed by the vision of a human body, slowly rotting during the course of the movie.
Obssessed with death, Jörg Buttgereit went beyond the simplistic body excesses of his peers to again find the true horror in his second feature, one of the most unusual and compelling films to emerge from the European Underground. Not for the squeamish, this film avoids the clichés and goes straight for the throat with unflinching scenes of horror.
