Book presentation with Dejan Ognjanović

Special guest: Aleksandar Radivojević

Serbian author, film critic, horror theorist and our old friend Dejan Ognjanović has recently self-published the second print of his novel Naživo (In Vivo), first published in 2003. It brings 260 pages of pure terror as we follow the story of a young man whose life takes a sinister turn after watching a recording of a strange and horrible ritual. In Vivo is the novel that introduced hardcore horror to Serbian literature and film and has, with its combining of sex and death, as well as its thematization of snuff, film fandom, film geeks and film-making,  served as inspiration for The Life and Death of a Porno Gang and A Serbian Film. If you're into hard-hitting horror, shockumentaries and Lovecraft, if you take interest in the occult, Satanism, secret societies and conspiracy theories, this novel is right up your alley.

The second print also features a new cover, drawn by Nikola Vitković, who has already done an outstanding job on the Lovecraft anthology Nekronomikon. At this year's Grossmann, Dejan Ognjanović will for the first time present In Vivo to Slovenian audience, in the company of A Serbian Film script writer Aleksandar Radivojević. It will be a perfect opportunity to get acquainted with one of the most important and exciting contributions to the horror genre in the literature of the ex-Yu region.
