In the remote mountains of Vermont, strange things start happening after an unprecedented flood. Professor Albert Wilmarth from the Miskatonic University decides to go and see for himself if there is any truth in the weird reports from the locals. His investigation leads him to a discovery of horrors beyond anything he ever imagined, and ends in a desperate attempt to escape the remote New England hills with his life and sanity intact.

After the 47-minute black and white silent movie The Cal of Cthulhu, the people from the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society are back with a new Lovecraft adaptation, this time in feature length and with sound. Visually reminiscent of 40's horror films and brilliantly directed by Sean Branney (who has already won the Audience award for Best director at this year's SFF-rated Festival in Athens), The Whisperer in Darkness is one of the finest films inspired by the works of the great H.P. Lovecraft.
