ALTERART HOUSE - JOURNEY TO A PARALLEL DIMENSION

The purpose of the AlterArt House is the presentation of a different view of today's world. Journey through the AlterArt House will be an exciting leap into parallel dimensions and spheres of today's world that we too often close our eyes to.
This unusual house which could also be called Grossmann's mirror to society will be found at the main square of Ljutomer. It will open its door on Wednesday. The experience will be interactive, allowing the visitors to become a part of this parrallel dimension by applying mask and make-up.
Voluntary donations will be collected at the entrance to the house. There will also be a symbolic fee for make-up as well as mask rental.

Art mentor, sculptor and contemporary/alternative artist. Sebastian Šeremet is one of Slovenia's most renowned and inspirational artists. He has been involved in hundreds of different projects. Since 2007 he is also an important collaborator of our festival. He works with all materials and paints, from body painting, masks, to canvas, acrylic, oil, metal and paper.

Nejc Smodiš is one of Slovenia's top artists. Self taught and through apprenticeship study, he has developed a means for his passion of expression on issues related to social criticisms. He is a youth figure at Sokolski Dom Novo Mesto. He has been involved with hundreds of private and public and community projects. He works with all materials and surfaces related to paint. In their workshop they make unique pieces of art from different metals, mostly steel, aluminium and copper. Techniques and tools they use in processing and reshaping metal are forging, welding, grinding and other creative preparations that their artistic vision requires for a particular sculpture or object.

Satanya is one of Slovenia's most well known alternative fashion designers. Her clothing is "for people who dare to wear" She specializes in custom clothing for men, women, and children. There is nothing that she cant do with textile and she does it HARDCORE!

Marko Lipovsek is the man of all trades. He is Slovenia's only up and coming contemporary experimental luthier. He specializes in creative and classical carpentry and construction. He also works with metal structures and as a blacksmith.

Miranda specializes and is obsessed with recycling Rubber. Her passion has led her to work in rubber clothing, accessories, furnature and interior dressings. Flexable and able to bounce around any obstacle, there is nothing she cant do with rubber.
