The Fabulous films from this year's workshop are finally available on Grossmann TV! Lo and behold the amazing masterpieces that were made in less than a week by our incredible guerrilla crews, whose know-how, hard work, ability, resourcefulness as well as capability of finishing their films on schedule would surely make even Roger Corman himself immensely proud!

Listen to the technically astonishing and nerve end-demolishing Ballad by Matevž Jerman, the winner of this year's workshop!
Tremble in mortal dread to the gory slasher Bad Deal by Jernej Cenčič!
Take a dive into the dreamy, phantasmagoric world of Tina Ščavničar in the eye candy-abundant Noise or How I Wanted to Feed the Animals!
Spill the sweet tears of laughter while watching the hilarious splatter comedy Assholeface by Gašper Antauer!

Congratulations to all the crews, you are the film, you are the future!

roger corman at grossmann 2008The workshop is held in honour of the legendary director and producer Roger Corman, receiver of the Vicious Old Cat award at Grossmann 08. His cult classic The Little Shop of Horrors is listed in the Guinness Book Of World Records as the movie that took the least time to shoot, namely two days and a night. This is exactly how much time our chosen film crews have to shoot a short genre movie during the festival. The scripts were already written, pre-production (storyboard, choosing locations etc.) as well as post-production (editing, music, digital effects etc.) may take up to two days, respectively.

Participants in the workshop are provided with computers with suitable editing software installed, as well as with special venue for other activities involving production. Workshop coordinator and his assistant take care of helping out and consulting during all phases of the production. There are also some masks i.e. already made visual/special FX available, as well as some improvised lighting. Other equipment must be provided by film crews themselves, with all kinds of digital cameras allowed.
.
Workshop started on 26th of July and has lasted until the end of the festival, 31st of July. The winner of the workshop was chosen by a special jury. All films made in the workshop will be released on a DVD for promotional purposes of the authors and the festival.
